Intel Penang TMC will be celebrating their 16th Anniversary on Jan 9th, 2010 at Desaria Communtiy Hall, Sg Ara. Those intereseted can contact the organizer to get the tickets.

Division N TLI2 Club Officers Training

Division N Club Officers Training was successfully held on Dec 6th at Intel Penang Auditorium.

21 out of 27 clubs in the division earned the half DCP point for sending at least 4 officers for the training.

Among them two clubs came with all the seven officers, they are Intel Penang TMC and Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah Toastmasters Club. Congratulations and well done to them!

We were privileged to have all top three District Officers came to support the event. They were DG Richard Chong, DTM, LGET Thannimalai, ACB, ALB and LGM Francis Ng, DTM. Other than them, the TLI Chair Sandrasegaran and TLI Site & Hospitality Chair Lorna Fischer, DTM, together with District Secretary Wendy Wong and District PRO Rosalind Chan, DTM were there too.

With the training, the club officers were prepared for the second half of the term to keep serving the members!

Division N did it again!

Our Division N Contestant to Toastmasters Distirct 51 Evaluation Contest 2009, Asha Suresh Chand emerged as the CHampion!

2nd Runner Up : Mary Barton.

It's an all women event.

For the Humrous Speech Contest , The result is

Champion : Marianna Pascal

1st Runner Up : Ruby Ahmad

2nd Runner Up : Karina Razali.

KL Genting Semi Annual Convention 2009

KL Genting Semi Annual Convention is around the cornor. It will be an exciting event.

To date, there are around 500 delegates have signed up. Whoever haven't signed up and wish to go, please let me know.

Demonstration Meeting at Menara Alor Star

Division N council were invited by the management of Menara Alor Star, Kedah on Oct 4th, 2009. Two sessions of demostartion meeting were conducted to show to the staffs of Menara Alor Star. The management of Menara Alor Star expressed their interest in setting up of a Toastmasters Club to train their staff in Communication and Leadership. This is in line with their management intention to enhance the branding of Menara Alor Star to improve the services and attract more visitors to the Tower.

Six members of division members were there to conduct the sessions. They were division governor myself, Asst Div Governor Sutharat, Area N3 Governor Karen Teh, Area N6 Governor Terence Lee, Bayan Baru TMC member Mah Swee Chin and IPG1 member Jasmine. The Toastmasters of the day for both meeting were me.

All the staffs and the General Manager of the Tower En Mazlan were showed how a Toastmasters meeting is conducted. They were quite eager to set up the club at the end of the meeting. I hope the charter of this club will become a reality. It will be the only Corporate club in Alor Star.
